Nice To Meet You!

I’m Annalena [she/her]–proud word nerd, relentless optimist, and food enthusiast. I work with people, companies, and communities striving to make the world a more sustainable, just, and delicious place.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Central Mexico, and the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Back in high school, I was too uncoordinated to play sports, so I spent my time farming instead. This extracurricular activity ballooned into a lifelong passion that led to a degree in Environmental Studies with a food systems concentration from the University of Vermont and a career working with food and beverage brands across the country.

There is no shortage of incredible people doing impactful work in this industry, but all too often, they aren’t getting the recognition, sales, or success they deserve. By combining my love of writing, aptitude for design, and business acumen, I’ve grown diverse brands with creative marketing, including Almanac Beer Company, The Good Food Foundation, Sodexo, Cambium Carbon, and Feed.

When I’m not working with clients, I serve on the board of directors of the Queer Food Foundation, pull weeds at Farm2Market, and dance with the fine folks at The Dance Floor in Berkeley, CA.
